Can You Press the Rewind Me Some of That Button? On Your Remote?

If you're a parent to a small child you're most likely subjected to the occasional Noggin viewing. One show that Girl-Child is partial to is the Upside Down Show. I'm rather fond of it as well. Not for the educational value. Or the songs. Or the interactive quality which permeates today's preschool television programming. No. It is because of David and Shane...oh Shane:

Which? Truth be told? I find...oh let's see... how do you say? Sexy. They make suffering through Yo Gabba Gabba and Wow Wow Wubbzy tolerable.

And here they are again - in an instant replay.

I know. There's something wrong with me You agree.

oh, I'm overseas, which one is Shane?

we are moving back to the States though. And I must say, when my son heard this video start, he came running, so I guess we'll be seeing a lot of Noggin.

To be fair, here are Sid & Andy, from CBeebies (the BBC children's channel)

It is amazing what having small children will do to your television viewing. I didn't know what or who Sponge Bob was until I had my first grandchild. Hubby now watches all those shows with grandson #2. I am clueless and want to stay that way. I didn't think I would survive watching the Thomas the Train movie years ago. Gah.

Oh my gentle Jesus. That fly ditty sketch was beyond insane.

However, I'm confused - which one is Shane?

Oh, thank you! I thought I was the only one.

okay, Tootsie. Now I have spent a good part of my morning watching these guys on youtube...make sure you check out the imagination movers on DISNEY. Our whole family LOVES them. Husband had to a movers tshirt for his birthday.

Those guys don't do it for me, Toots. I'm more of a Steve gal. (and I second the Imagination Movers motion.)

P.S.
I thought my little guy was going to bust a gut watching that Fly Ditty!

I do find them adorable and far preferable to yet another showing of Sponge Bob.

I currently live in a Dora and Diego hell....hope to break free soon! lol

Okay, I don't really find them sexy, so you've lost me a little bit there. But on the other hand, Yo Gabba Gabba makes me want to poke my eyes out slowly with dull sticks, and Wow Wow Wubzy makes me want to do the same to my ears, so I certainly agree that a few rewinds of the Upside Down Show are preferable.

Honestly, though? I love me some Little Bear and Little Bill and Maggie and the Ferocious Beast. But then, my kids are a bit younger than yours.

I like how you say "subjected to the occasional Noggin viewing."

Ha! 'occasional'

That cracks me up.

David and Shane are to blame for my 2 1/2 year old wanting to eat breakfast upside down. Seriously.

nope, I don't agree. But I think the guy on blue's clues is do-able.

Yes, I think you've finally reached noggin overload or nirvana. Either way....I cannot agree with you. But, my children love all 3 of those shoes...

my princess likes these two a lot, also the imagination movers. (she does have issues with the guy with long hair on the movers)

I like David and Shane (no, not in that way) because they encourage alternate thinking. Out of the box.

Jason, as himself said...

You find them sexy? Really? Oh, Tootsie, is your husband not giving you enough attention?

I do find them pretty darn funny, though.

oh my goodness but those guys are too too funny!! that fly ditty!!LOL!!
is this another Australian show? I detect a bit of an Ozzie accent....??
My youngest (6 yrs) is now VERY into Dora...and with his limited English ability, he is now muttering words in Spanish and really throwing the teachers at his daycare for a loop!! it's great!!

Noggin? We'll be checking you out next time we are in the States!!

Funny as hell - and since Funny=Sexy in my world - and I've always had a thing for bald - well, yes, I would have to agree!

I have never seen these two. I do, however, still have nightmares about the Wiggles who I was subject to during my babysitting days.

Sorry, I am not to be trusted. Raised the offspring on a combo of: The Clash, Elvis Costello, Pink Floyd and others in a strict NO-BARNEY zone... our TV consisted of watching reality TV and I used most of it as a cautionary tale to show just what assholes people can be.

DUUUUUDE!

It is the Umbilical Brothers!

They are Aussie comedians!

They freaking rock.

(couldn't watch the vid, got a kid next to me asleep)

THE UMBILICAL BROTHERS!
Someone sent me a youtube link of their stuff and I LOLed by myself, for hours. WATCH THEM. ALL OF THEM. And now, I have to completely ignore the age of my child, and get him hooked on this show.

Listen up, Bitch. Shane is MINE. I will fight you for him. And I fight dirty.
