Oh, dear - I didn't mean to start a controversy! Sesame Street it is...

Holy Crap-oly. I just noticed that I'm "Blog Of The Week!"

Also, thanks ever so for the music-crack that is now stuck in my head. I will be singing that for days... grrr...

I also meant to thank you for the "blog of the week" as well. But my manners were overcome by Sesame Street. I sincerely apologize.

Oh Miss Tootsie always makes us smile. All the time , not just once in a while. Whenever you are sad or wear a frown - Miss Tootsie turns it upside-down!

(sung to Who Are the People in Your Neighborhood)

I was a little old when SS started, but enjoyed watching it with my son when he was growing up in the early 80's. I think it was probably one of the best child programs (and still is). Thank you for reminding me of a time that seems to have lost some innocents. Can you believe that the term 'blackboard' is now considered offensive!!!

I think I used to have a crush on him.

I met Bob and Susan from SS when I was a little girl living in Chicago at some album signing. My parents still have the LP. And my kids actually like listening to it when we visit Grandma and Grandpa.

And yes, that song has that rare quality that gets it stuck in one's head....oh so thanks.

I lurrved Bob as a kid. As an adult I have met him several times. He travels to my city every year for an annual telethon for a service group. He is beyond generous and kind. Just like he is in the 'hood.

I have been singing this song in my head for the past 48 hours. That, while wanting to flatten *someone's* tires.

Strange combination.

I knew it. I knew it. I knew it.

NOw I have the song - one of these things doesn't belong here. One of these things, isn't the same. One of these things is not like the others. And now it's time to play our game. It's time to play our game.

Sesame Street.

Also? One Two Three Four Five Six Seven Eight Nine Ten Eleven Twelve. And they all played games. At the Ladybug picnic.

I just realized that I have a special place in my brain for stupid details, but I took semesters of Calculus I-III and then Differential Equations, and I could not even do a derivative today. Although I am not sure what good it would do me to do a derivative.

Oh, and little know celebrity fun fact about ME?

I once worked with the actress who played Lady Aberlin on Mr. Rogers.

I love that song...it gets in your head, doesn't it? Kinda like the one from the 60s that reminds you not to cross in the middle of the street. Or the Good and Plenty song. Or Mr. Rogers' theme song. Or, or...oh crap! Somebody stop me before I go mad!
