Send Aspirin and Faux Fur Ear Muffs

Boy-Child#1's birthday money rainy day purchase: Guitar Hero World Tour. I thought the drums would at least try to sound like electronic drums. But they sound like someone beating on a cardboard box...repeatedly. For. H-O-U-R-S. The singing? Dying cat.

And man did that game come with a lot of wires. Le sigh.

Wrong side out pajama top not included.

The Partridge Family has NOTHING on the Farklepants.

Thanks for the reminder, sister. Game on.

Thank you for reconfirming my opinion on this great new toy! If Santa even *thinks* about dropping this under our tree this year he's going to be a few reindeer short!

LOL. Well, would you prefer a REAL guitar and drum set??

(my son plays electric and if you wanna know what LOUD is....)

Delurking to say you can get drum pad silencers at Game Stop. They're just rubber pads that fit on top of each drum head and seriously cut down on the amount of noise.
When we got our son Rock Band for his birthday, we made sure we had the covers. I think those things saved my sanity.

Good Lord! I'll send you wine. That will make it better.

You must convince boy child #2 to grow out those locks, as I agree with Mrs.G the partridge family has been reborn!

Oh sweet jeebus. Mama wants that. Not for my kids. For me.

Rock Band has quieted down considerably in our house. After they mastered the songs.

Let me know when you start managing them and go on tour.

Awesome! Totally playing with that tonight.

Love that picture - caught those drumsticks in mid thump.

You have my sympathy. I heard kids playing that at the store and couldn't get away fast enough. And there? I was already farther away from it than my house is big. I could not imagine that inside my living room.

My deepest sympathies...........ear plugs and wine might help though

Whenever we played Partidge Family - I always had to be Keith or Danny...cuz my sister had long straight hair like Laurie.

{sigh}

Boy 3 and I chipped in together and got World Tour for his 13th bday. We moved the WII to the basement and we are loving it. The dying cat? That's me! Who can hear the drums?

Seriously fun bonding time. Gotta get a third controller so dad can rock out with us.

Well, it may sound screechy, but that is a very cute picture. You are such a sweet mom. Everyone looks like they are having fun!

We did that up this week! Wires, yes. Fun for the adults too. I rocked "Creep" by Radiohead. Mad props from the teenaged son.

hahaha. We are deep into Rock Band II. It would be frightening for a burglar to break into the house and find blog-Stedman and I rocking out in our pjs. Yep, that is our security plan...scaring intruders away with loud 80s ballads. It is working so far.

Well, the Partridge Family did have mom up front as lead singer. If you have the mike then the drums don't sound so bad, and you can't complain about the words.

At least they're playing together?

But at least they're not hitting each other! Not that mine do. . . .

We just got that too but for the Wii and all our instruments are wireless except the microphone. We are not that GREAT but hubby is becoming pretty good! It is a fun game and I am sure our neighbors love us. We will be giving earplugs out this XMAS!
