I finally got around to watching Waitress this past weekend. I don't know if it was the storyline or the PMS but I can attest to its tissue-worthiness. It's a good flick to curl up with on those "I just wanna be a chick" days when you want to get in touch with your whole gamut of emotions but don't want to go all Terms of Endearment or Steel Magnolias where you're left in a sobbing pile of feminine fetal position. You know, when you want your guts tweaked not wrenched.
Plus there's this:
Helllooooo Jason Bateman Nathan Fillion who plays Doctor Feel Good Pomatter. A gynecologist who makes me want to say, doctor it hurts when I do this do you have some kind of salve you could rub on me. I may just have to force myself to start watching Desperate Housewives or reruns of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I had no idea just what I was missing! His large head and face will make a nice addition to my list.
You know THE LIST. And you have one.
P.S. Today is the last chance to enter the giveaway!

I love Buffy, but don't know this Nathan guy - I think I missed a season!
Is it okay to have the same guy on my LIST? If I ever get to check him off I promise to refer him to you next ;) Those blue eyes...*sigh*
If the darn Red Box would work at Wal-Mart I'd rent that thing today. I need me some pick-me-up.
Very very cute. Almost as cute as Keith Urban--I digress. Thanks for the tip.
If you love Nathan, you need to check out Firefly (a cancelled tv show he starred in) and Serenity.
Tootsie What List! I was suppose to make a List. Senior Moment. Got to put Waitress on my to watch list so I can add to my LIST!
I LOVED this movie. Not your typical chick or indie flick, but kinda both wrapped into one perfect movie.
He's certainly on my B list--very adorable and he's a tall man which I like.
I really liked Waitress --- BUT the idea of a woman being attracted to her gynecologist gives me the willies, BIG TIME. ((Shudder))
Regarding Nathan Fillion, though, you really should march yourself right over to iTunes and buy "Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog." It's a set of three short film things and he is very funny in it. Doogie Howser is also in it, and is a genius as usual.
Dude, if you're willing to watch him in Buffy then you should totally get the series Firefly - they don't call him Captain Tight Pants for nothing!
Also, Dr. Horrible's Sing-along-Blog - he plays Capt. Hammer and it's hilarious! Google it!
Of course I have a list. You post yours, I'll post mine.
He does look like Jason Bateman. Is that the Keri Russel movie?
Waitress is very sad. Not because of the plot or writing or anything. But because the woman who wrote it, the same one who plays the dorky co-worker waitress, was murdered in her apartment while editing the film.
Wow. Look who just brought the whole room down.
Totally check out Firefly and Serenity, and Dr. Horrible. I'm going to be Captain Hammer for Halloween.
He is adorable. I always go for those semi-nerdy types like Jason Bateman and Jon Stewart.
the whole lovin' your gyno thing is kinda icky to me tho.
I must be so behind the times - I have no clue who that guy is! He IS cute though. And I thought he was Jason Bateman at first glance!
I've got a post up today that anyone with daughters should read:

I loved that movie, and him.
(To Backpacking Dad's comment...yes, I couldn't stop thinking about that as I watched the movie. Watching her scenes, knowing what happened to her.)
Yes...definitely watch Firefly and Serenity. He's kinda the main guy...and he DOES wear tight pants.
Plus, he's a bad boy...if you like that sort of thing.
That movie made me use a whole wad of kleenex.
I haven't seen Waitress yet..that curly headed chick that is in it bugs me..can't think of her name..but if you tell me that it's worthy...then I'll record when I see it...
Jason Bateman...damn, I forgot to put in on my List..count him there.
Waitress is one of my favorites- Nathan Filliom is positively yummy.
I liked it because it's a chick-flick, but it's like an indie chick-flick. Smart, quirky, funny. Andy Griffith is brilliant.
Loved that movie the Waitress! One of my favorite little chick flick movies. Right up there on the list with Hope Floats, Urban Cowboy (still love that movie), How to Marry a Millionaire, and The Lone Star State.
Is Waitress the one with Andy Griffith? My mom LOVES Andy Griffith. I haven't seen the movie. It is on my list of things to do, however.
I am totally going to rent it next time I want to be miserable...I mean that in a sweet, crying chick flick way.
Ha. I totally have a list. You post yours and I will post mine.
Sigh..... can we have a larger photo?
To add another layer of sadness to Backpacking Dad's comment, I believe that the scene where the little girl (played by the writer's daughter) walks away and turns around and waves bye to the other waitresses (one of whom was her real-life mom) was just about the final time the little girl saw her mom.
I've always thought he was a hottie. Ever since Silver Spoons. Hee.
Will put Waitress on my list. Thanks.
I love Nathan Fillion.
that is all.
a salve to rub on. yeehaw.
He of the Buffy/Firefly fame? Love him.
You have mighty good taste.
(Although he was super creepy on Buffy as a misogynist, murdering priest. Yikes.)
I soooo have a list. And I might just add him to it, thankyouverymuch.
We really liked that movie. It was so quirky and unexpected.
Oh, and it made me very hungry for homemade pie.
Living in Canada that gas card wouldn't maybe work up here but a Starbucks card would fuel my brain cells for an hour or two at least.
Toots,you are a godsend.
I have loved Nathan for quite some time. Here is your homework now: immediately go rent (or better yet, buy) "Serenity"... another Buffy-creator creation starring the lovely Nathan. A hot hint: he plays a space cowboy. I know... how hot is that?!?
I Hate my Husband Pie. That's one I remember. I really liked that movie. Her diary entries were priceless: "Dear Damn Baby."
I didn't know the info about the writer. So very sad.
