Proper Dog Farts

Note how the dogs, um, emissions seem to blend in with the fluffy clouds yet the daisies are all wilted in his wake. He hath dealt a right proper crop dusting.

I was informed that my nephew loves books. So I picked up this dilly: "Walter the Farting Dog". Because? What better way to let the children in your life know you love them, than with flatulence? Through the written word, of course. Not by demonstration. That would just be funny as hell gross. My sister in law may laugh politely but my brother is sure to wet himself. Yep. Tootsie is one classy lady.

That book is guaranteed to be a favorite. I always thought it was a cliche that boys are so into body humor, but good grief it's not at all. Toots (my mom wouldn't let us say fart and I'm afraid I'm passing that one on), underwear, butt, poop -- those are favorite words around our house!

Ah yes, good old Walter. My husband (on his one trip to the book store to purchase a child's birthday gift that I sent him to get) found this book and immediately purchased it for (himself) our kids. When the 3-year-old starting wanting to read it at night, I put a stop to it. It's now buried in his armoire somewhere. Madame Queen - my mom used to make me say "Fluffy" instead of the 'f' word. ;) (ie: "Did you let a fluffy?" "Why yes, I fluffied.")

Princess has that book and I'm not sure who likes it best, her or Hubs. I love the illustrations. I just wish we didn't have our very own farting dog....sigh.

You put the "ass" in "class." And the "toot" in "Tootsie."

I think my brother will enjoy this book more than his son. I can't wait to watch him read it to him. It shall be priceless!

I never really paid attention to the cover before, but now that you point it out, that's pretty funny! My girls love this book, what kid isn't excited about farting. Unfortunately they also got the little stuffed farting dog that came with it. I don't know why he is missing!

Good lands, I know I commented here. Who wouldn't have a comment on farts?! Perhaps I'm just losing my mind. Great book, though. I've been contemplating getting it for my boys. Because boys + farts = good times.
