Thinking Is So Passe

When the dentist's office called me on Tuesday to confirm the boy's appointments, instead of saying "We'll be there!", I should have rescheduled. Why? It was raining when she called and the weather forecast called for more worser-colder-rainy-misery for Wednesday. Today. The day of their appointment. -And this is Southern California people. The chances of it raining on a day you have a scheduled appointment are about slim to never- But sometimes my brain does not connect properly when I'm planning my own convenience. The part that likes to keep appointments forgot to consult the area designated for my own selfish needs. But, in its defense, "selfish needs" was probably taking a nap.

I love, love, love CA weather. Seriously. I'm just a tad green that you have great weather 99% of the time and I just don't. And that's the selfish side of me talking.

I'm so sorry that it's raining for the third time this year. Oh wait, no I'm not. You live in California where it's beautiful 99.9% of the time!

We are parched here in Georgia. When it rains, people dance in the streets and don't cancel their dentist appointments. I'm just saying...

So the mocking is unanimous then?

Not much sympathy from me either. :) It was -7 (yes, 7 degrees below 0!) here this morning!

I had to reread this because I thought I missed something the first time. "What? Was there a monsoon? Torrential downpours? Muslides? Earthquake? Twister?"

But, no. IT WAS DRIZZLY.

Woman, the mocking is indeed unanimous.

I know! This rain is killing me! I had to go to the grocery store, two kids in tow, in the RAIN. It sucked. I don't know how people in other parts of the country get anything done. The past two days have been spent sitting on my couch because the rain makes me lazy.
One of the many reasons I love living in California.

Well fine then! humph. Except. Wait. Did someone say -7 degrees? As in NEGATIVE? Did Santa Claus leave a comment? I don't even want to try to imagine what that feels like.

It's STILL raining, btw.
