Wii? Oui.

Our boys have been jonesing for a Wii for about, ohhhh, forever. Since they already have just about every other game system on the planet (except for the PS3 because, FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS!) I we decided that they would have to buy the Wii for themselves. They've been saving and combining their collective Christmas and birthday monies and finally had enough cash. Then there we were, months after Christmas and the Wii still just as hard to come by. Fast forward to Friday evening when Mr. Farklepants arrived home early from work. After my initial, "What the hell are you doing here?" loving wife that I am response, he presented the boys with the Wii system! And Super Smash Brothers! He then announced that Mario Cart would be here on Monday. I was all, "How'd you score Mario Cart". And he was like, "There's this little thing called the Internet and Amazon.com, maybe you've heard of it? You can buy stuff there". And I was all, "bite me".

And when Mr. Farklepants enthusiastically asks, "Who's the best dad EVER?!"; Michael Jordan is not the answer he's looking for. Who knew?

OOOH FIRST COMMENTER!!!!!! Although by the time I get this up I probably won't be. Bookey got up and cereal had to be fixed, Noggin had to be turned on. So, I have a question for this Friday's Lecture from Professor Farlepants. I remember when I first started reading your blog, I would go through and read several entries & comment and I would be the only commenter. However you have a meteoric rise to Internet Power and now approximately a fulfillion commenters on each & every entry. Any advice for someone who would like to experience same? And please do not say read more blogs and comment on more blogs. If I read any more blogs my husband is going to feature me on the back of a milk carton. Please tell me there is a magic pill or cream that can give me the same results and that if I call now to order I can get twice as much for the same price only paying for the extra shipping and handling.

What an awesome dad!!

I admit, as a mom of a young man, I would be totally inadequate without his dad around, because I never, never understand how important his games are to him.

Good for Mr. Farklepants!

I MUST get some sort of splash guard for my monitor, because I drink my coffee while I am reading you and well... the splatter is ruining the screen. Thanks for a BIG laugh!

(Did you see Suburban Turmoil's Wii post the other day? Also very funny.)

The Wii is pretty freaking awesome. We have one and I lurve the bowling game on Wii Sports. I pretty muck kick ass at it.

Next we are getting Wii Fit...why? Because I hate to go to the gym and the prospect of doing a fun workout from home makes me happy.

I am impressed that they saved up for it--talk about dedication to a cause!

The only Wii in our house is around the rim of the toilet seat.

LOVE the Wii here! Yeah for Mr. Farklepants.

Oh... and we are getting a PS3...

When Gran Turismo 5 comes out, there will be no stopping it. Besides we need a Blu-ray player. It'll be a write off anyway.

But don't tell Tootsie... ;)

LOL! Of course the dad would beat to the punch. Reminds me of Bud. I am the practical momma that buys a Matchbox car and is super cool until DAD comes home with a battery powered 4 wheeler. He sucks.
Tell us how they like the Wii! i want one too!

How about this for laziness? I had the brazilliant idea of inventing a game called Wii Fetch for my dogs. Appalling.

He's such a kiss up. And, he really found Mario Cart? I am trying to get it for Father's Day.

AFF, I ordered Mario Kart from amazon.com for overnight delivery.

I'm playing it right now as a matter of fact.

I could not find at any local store but Amazon had it (and still does) in stock.

Did I ever tell you the story about how Mr. Fix-it voided the warranty on the XBox 360 and had to buy a PS3 to replace it? No? Probably 'cause it still makes me cry.

You will loooooove the Wii.

I must have missed something about M. Jordan 'cause I'm thinking Mr. Farklepants is waaay better 'cause he's still with his kids' momma...oh, yeah...and he rocks it in the "buying cool stuff for his kids" department.
My sons now answer every "yes" question with "WII"....that get almost as annoying as their pleading to buy one...no, I enjoy the quiet afternoons here as they are at friends' houses playing THEIR games...I'm not going to rain on my own parade here!!

Will you building on to the Farklepants house to accomodate the activity?!?! Can my boys come play??
:-D

Wii's awesome. Is it lame that I'm addicted to Rapala Bass Fishing & Arctic Life? I really enjoy being a Polar Bear. HI! Big dork here!

I passed up on Wii Fit at Target the other day, because $90!? But now they don't have it and I'm going to have to order it from Amazon and PAY shipping. Duh.

I've been blogging my love/hate relationship with my Wii. Mario Kart is a blast!

The last time I thought I was stupendous and asked "who's the best mommy?" They said "Molly's mom!" Molly is a girl in their class. Grrr. Guess I'm never setting myself up for *that* one again!

My kids don't seem that interested, but oh how I would love to play with one of these. Great dad is right!

At our house, wii haven't...I mean we haven't made that purchase yet. It's about to happen, though, I fear. The die was cast the other day when I tried to buy a new memory card for (wait for it) my son's Gamecube. Yeah, we're dinosaurs.

Wii Fit looks awesome.

You are a better woman than I; the Wii is the only gaming system I can tolerate in the house and even it gets on my last nerve occasionally. Although I have high hopes that Wii Fit will save my life soon.

Best Dad Ever is usually Bill Cosby or the man who lets you buy unlimited shoes...

Go wii. We wii. You wii. Every one wii, wii. Worth every penny.

And just in time for Father's Day. I think we was lobbying for an awesome present this year.

LOL Yeah that's how we had to get mario kart too. Although I refused to pay an inflated price for the Wii and stalked Walmart til I found one. =D Now I have to do the same thing to get the fit board, darnit!

Your husband is like my own. Aside from the PS3 he INSISTED that he needed.

*sighs*

Kids...er, HUSBANDS.

that's it. your life is over. the wii is wonderful. i've been driving mario kart like a mad woman. now we have wii fit. we are all competing to kick each other's little mii butt....

We've had the Wii for a while, but my son had been freaking out for weeeks/months about getting Super Smash Bros. We told him he had to earn it. He had to turn in every single homework packet for the final marking period. And HOLY CRAP, he did it. (Though currently he is grounded from playing it because he's been smacking his sister. I'm the worst mom ever. Ask him.)

Ahh, you must teach Mr. Farklepants to use the more specific line my dad coined, "Who's the best dad you ever had??" More likely to get desired response. Hopefully. ;)
