It Doesn't Hurt that He's Also Sexy

Never before had a politician, of all things, moved me to tears [not tears of hope anyway, tears of frustration and anger oh my yes] as Barack Obama [really Spell Check? You don't recognize this name by now? Get with the program homeslice] did with his speech at the 2004 Democratic National Convention:

But even though, when our eyes met through my television that night, generating stirrings of inspiration, I was doubtful about his eventual decision to run for president. It's not that I didn't have faith in him, no. It's that I didn't think it was his time. I was an Al Gore girl and I kept not so secretly hoping he'd toss his hat into the ring because I believed he would be the only one to defeat Hillary Clinton in the primaries and ultimately whomever the Republican candidate happened to be (at the time); and not that I had anything against Clinton either, I just didn't think she could clinch the win come November of '08.

Anyway, details... I didn't think Obama would have the support of the nation, collectively, to seal this deal. And I'm happy to admit when I'm wrong, because good lord:

And because holy moly:

And even in Europe because, oh meine Güte:

Five more days.

P.S. Haaaaave mercy!

Bloody hell, blogger just ate my comment and it wasn't a short one! Grrrrr.....
I agree with ya here. But let's just agree that my original post was wittier, longer, and more original than that.
I'm going to go do something non-computer related now. Stupid blogger. :(

I have faith. I just hope we don't spend anymore until we get out from under the mountain of debt left by the last guy.

Suze Ormond had some "brilliant" advice today. Don't charge anything you can't pay off at the end of the month. (She makes beaucoup bucks with her financial advice, btw.)

:-D

That is all.

(Me and my "I voted" sticker will be going to Krispy Kreme and Ben and Jerries to get the gooodies that they are handing out. But I'd vote even without the bribery.)

Would you keep reminding folks to GO VOTE! Please?

I don't want anyone feeling complacent about this; I don't want anything to be so close as to need recounting. I'd love the Republican candidates to concede before the polls close.

I feel a need for this to be an Obama landslide to mandate CHANGE in a big, wonderful way.

Up until I saw that last picture, I would have said "attractive yes, sexy, no so much."

But then the last picture' eyes and the smile, yeah, I see sexy.

Smart is the new sexy.

For a change I actually have a positive feeling about this country and hope that things will actually change for the better. You cannot do that with some 72-year-old who has voted the same as the dude ruining the country for the last 8 years.

I get the sexy thing. I was an Al Gore girl, too, although I was 14 at the time. I still loved him dearly.

I'm British, but still, I'll be following closely :)

I just want it to be over at this point. Tuesday cannot come fast enough!

Oh, and blogger is totally on a roll today. I've had all kinds of bizarre word verifications today, and now I have "salvati" There might be a hidden message in there somewhere.

We watched 2000 and 2004 from afar. Now we live in the US but we still don't get to vote. Although I am hoping our vote is not needed.

I had hoped to go downtown where I live to see him speak, because he'll be here tomorrow, but then I'm reminded from these photos about why I'll just wait to catch the highlights on the news. The man already got my vote!

He has groupies for God's sake. people are blinded by the razzle dazzle. He is not the guy to get us out of this.

However, either one can't and if there is an uneven congress (read filibuster proof) then we are in for a world of hurt. It's not the party, it is the people who caused this mess. All of them need to be ousted.

We have a long road to go, no matter what happens Tuesday.

Can we still be friends even though I'm a Republican and Barack Obama scares my pants off? But not in that way. Geez, Tootsie, get your mind out of the gutter.

Also? So sick of the election radio commercials and phone calls and total strangers dropping by my house.
