There were some outstanding comments this week! I loved reading the brief synopses of your labor and delivery here! (and I totally had to just look up the plural form of synopsis) The following comments regarding school dress codes sent me on a Google search:
Calicobebop: "Too funny. I've seen girls walking around in their Old Navy pj bottoms - and I know they're ON because I own them! Stacy and Clinton would faint.
Actually, it would be kind of interesting to see what Stacy and Clinton came up with in the way of school dress-codes wouldn't it?"
Katydidnot: "ooooh. calico has it right, get stacy and clinton on it, and we'll all be saved from the thong sticking out of the tooooo low jeans phenom."
Because I was all "who are Stacy and Clinton?". At first read I thought it was in reference to Hillary Clinton and her daughter and that perhaps there was some part of her presidential campaign regarding school uniforms or proper dress for young ladies. Then I was wracking my brain trying to remember her name because "Stacy" didn't sound right. Then I was all, "her name is Chelsea. Is Stacy a nickname I'd never heard of? Am I out of some loop?". So I consulted the omniscient Internets and they delivered What Not To Wear. So thanks, ladies! For bringing me up to speed on my pop culture trivia!
Lord Andrew of Goulding's (look who has a fancy name!) comment from my freakout session: "I really don't understand women. Aren't all your worries what bringing them into the world was for, that they'd become...adults?"
Your Lordship, it is probably just as hard to understand women in this matter as it is for women to understand men who are overbearing fathers to their daughters during the dating years. Sitting at home cleaning their shotguns, metaphorically and sometimes literally, and peeking through the windows to make sure that good night kiss is somewhat innocent. Except I understand it.

How could a fashion advice maven such as yourself not be in the loop with Stacy and Clinton?! You definitely need to check out the competition!
I like Stacy and Clinton, but they make me a bit defensive because I seem to violate the majority of their fashion rules and they would eat me alive on their show.
You do know who Time Gunn is don't you? I think he would be kinder.
Agree with Jenn, Stacy and Clinton are da bom dot com. Since you are the only fashion expert that I know (ok, so I really don't know you), I would love to hear your take on their fashion advice to the soccer moms of the world.
I love Stacy and Clinton (and I could use $5000 of new clothes, but could I also get a smaller body to go with them?), but I have to agree with Mrs. G.
OMG, I just heard HRH GASP from here. You don't know who Stacy & Clinton are? My GAWD, woman! Do you live under a rock?
I can already hear Angie chiming in too...Stacy IS a B*tch sometimes, but the woman knows what she's talking about. Angie & Stacy. They BOTH know what they're talking about.
Oh Tootsie! I popped your "What Not To Wear" cherry?
Color me OCD but I'm forever juding my outfit by Stacy and Clinton standards. What can I say, I've got no life! I'm actually at home on Saturday nights when "What Not To Wear" is on!
Somebody buy me a gigalo! Please?
I've watched "What Not to Wear" and though I find it entertaining and informative, I enjoy the fantasy that I can dress myself better than whomever that episode's fashion victim is. And that's probably my first mistake. Now I'm afraid to leave the house in case Stacy and Clinton are hiding behind the garage and waiting to tell me that I wear too much black.
Oh dear. I'm so out of it.
I'm shocked you didn't know S&C. Now you have to watch them, right?
Greetings from "Life Under a Rock" as I have absolutely no friggin' clue about Stacy & Clinton OR Time Gunn or pretty much anyone else for that matter. I only know you and being the anti-fashion person that I seem to be, you are the only one that can drag me out from under this rock. Why would I need anyone else?!?!
debbie @ swimming against the current in the "fashion river" of what's popular.com
Should I google Lord Mister Questioneer, because I'm not even sure I understand his vernacular.
So glad you cleared up the Stacey, Clinton thing. My head went where yours did.
P.S. I SO thought of you this afternoon. I dressed in a purple top and matching belt with jeans. Good so far, purple is my high shade. However, I did finish the outfit with purple crocs. OOOOHHHHH NOOOOO...as TOOTSIE RUNS SCREAMING FROM THE ROOM. I just couldn't help myself.
JCK~ I think my heart just stopped.
I think I'd walk around naked if it weren't for Stacy and Clinton . . . well, maybe not naked.
First time to your blog and I'm really enjoying the read...loved the bit on the dress code! And your daughter is adorable with her flame'n feet! Hehe!
I could never wear pj's in public. Or house slippers. Are those like the "gateway" clothing items that lead up to hair curlers and shower caps in public?
You just discovered "What not to Wear"? Somewhere my wife's head is exploding. If only everyone could catch a glimpse of this show, then maybe I wouldn't have to be subjected to the guy weaing the "who farted?" t-shirt.
